August 15 , 2007 - Thornton Veterans Memorial Unveils Site and Sign. Commemorating VJ Day, the Thornton Veterans Memorial unveiled a "coming soon" sign near the site that has been selected for the memorial. The keynote address was delivered by Colorado Secretary of State Mike Coffman, himself a decorated combat veteran.
Tony Hake, TVMF Chairman, starts the event off.
