Freedom Sponsor Program
The purpose of the Freedom Sponsor Program is to allow area businesses and civic organizations and groups to sponsor a chosen component of the Thornton Veterans Memorial (see below) and be recognized as having contributed significantly to the project and its completion.
Overview - The various components of the Thornton Veterans Memorial can be sponsored by contributors. These contributors can make a donation in the required amount for sponsorship of the item and designate it as being for sponsorship. Civic organizations are highly encouraged to choose to sponsor an item and then raise the monies required via their own fundraising activities.
Recognition - The Thornton Veterans Memorial will ensure that all sponsors receive due recognition for the significant contribution to the project. First and foremost, a plaque will be installed on / near the item that was sponsored with information on who made the purchase of that item possible and will serve as a perpetual reminder to all visitors of the contribution.
Further recognition will be provided by:
- Acknowledgement in groundbreaking and dedication ceremony program booklets.
- Listing as a Star Donor on “Donor Honor Roll” plaque at memorial site (level based on monetary value of sponsorship).
- Press release to all major area news outlets announcing contribution
- Engraved “eagle” for the sponsor to proudly display at their business or organization.
